Feeling Creative?

Global Entrepreneurship Week, Sacramento
http://www.gewsacramento.org/

I was first exposed to this problem while watching a TED Talk video. It is amazing how a small amount of creativity can lead to simple solutions!

Look at the picture below. You should see a candle, a pack of matches and a box of tacks next to a cardboard wall. Can you figure out, using only the objects on the table, how to attach the candle to the wall, so that the candle burns properly and does not drip wax on the table or the floor?

Can you figure out the answer?

Scroll Down for the answer...

Now, here’s the correct solution; you need to empty the box of tacks, use the tacks to pin the box to the wall, and place the candle in the box. The box acts as a candle holder!

Anyone Feeling the Entrepreneurial Spirit?

Global Entrepreneurship Week, Sacramento
http://www.gewsacramento.org/

Lately I've been feeling like there has been more entrepreneurial action than ever before. Maybe it's because Global Entrepreneurship Week is coming up in less than 2 months -- and we're all just super excited about it; or maybe it is because we slowly see Sacramento really shining to become a more entrepreneurial city!

In the last few years the growth of Sacramento has been outrageous! We, the community of Sacramento, are all just excited to be apart of it as well as a manufacture of that growth. An entrepreneur's best friend comes in all sorts of ways that looks to the usual person like a terrible situation. But to the entrepreneurs the loss of one's job, more competition, more debt, lack of resources, lack of knowledge, and an awful economy that isn't going anywhere.

That is until WE, the entrepreneurs, who take these little humps and use them to our advantage! We are one-of-a-kind. We seem like the rebels without a cause because no one sees what we see. No one knows how we are going to make our dreams come true; no one better than us that is. Only an entrepreneur can look at his failures as a success as well as all other entrepreneurs. From November 16 to 22, let's all play our part for this global movement!
